Best Blogs for...#4: Inspiration

  • *e*: This mother relocated from Australia to LA in 2005 and began to blog about her and her family's adventures in a foreign land (and their move back to Australia and then BACK to the USA). She throws out random thoughts, photos and crafting and tries to find the beauty in everyday things.
  • A Beautiful Mess: Elsie Larson is a 28 year old designer who has a passion for painting, journaling and "making huge messes." She owns a vintage boutique with her best friend and sister and talks about the trials and tribulations she has gone through to make her dream come true.
  • Bits & Pieces: This blog, written by graphic designer Cathy Zielske, follows her passion for design, as well as her zest for life. Cathy blogs about everything from her marriage to her weight loss journey to honoring the troops overseas.
  • Elise Blaha - enJOY it: Elise is an extremely crafty and creative woman with herown online shop, ELISE JOY, which features her pre-made and custom posters, journals and more. Elise's monthly goals are a great inspiration and launching pad for us to create our own monthly goals.
  • Kayla Aimee - Only Slightly Neurotic: As Kayla says, she has grown up with the blog she started in 2005. It's seen her through college, a bad breakup, meeting and marrying her husband, buying her first home and dealing with infertility - and recently just having her first baby. This is definitely the girl-next-door that you want to become friends with and will instantly connect with.
  • My Life...just not on the road I expected: Karen's account of her family life, as well as her job as a photographer, is both inspirational and uplifting. She posts beautiful pictures of her family in those common daily situations, making something so ordinary look absolutely extraordinary.
  • Soule Mama: Amanda and her family live in Western Maine and her blog touches upon the chaos and craziness of raising 4 (soon to be 5) children. She has also written 3 books on family, inspiration and simple ways to create homemade treasures - all are must reads!
  • Just me, my soldier and our 4 little chicks: One of the best blogs out there that is a true snapshot of American culture today, from new movies to her scrapbook layout shop to her life as an army wife. One of the best posts was her one last week on Memorial Day - check it out.
  • pretty paper. true stories: As stated on the About page, "I have always loved to make things - sometimes I just didn't know it. I have always loved photographs - sometimes I just didn't take them. I have always loved to write - sometimes I just erase a little too much. Now my day-to-day life revolves around these little concepts." This London lady does truly inspirational work with her blog and everyday life.
  • {A}: Ali Edwards "Memory Keeping for the Modern World" mantra shows her passion for that place where the stories and images of life intersect. This mother, author and blogger captures everyday life with photos and words and creating scrapbooks from these moments that often pass by in an instant.
